MAKATI, Philippines - On 20 March, the Career Services Office (CSO) launched the first learning session of the Asian Institute of Management’s Mentorship Program Cycle 6, featuring Ruby Jaucian, Chief People Officer of Personal Collection Direct Selling Inc., who served as the mentor and taught the participants how to chart their future careers.

During the discussion, Ms. Jaucian shared her career journey and emphasized the four pillars of building a career blueprint: passion, skills, talent, and values.

While being multi-hyphenated can be great, she stressed the importance of focusing on a specific lane.

Throughout her discussion on achieving success, she highlighted the LEARN strategy for success: Learn new skills for growth, Excel in areas for greater visibility, Assist others to build relationships, Redirect tasks to keep your work meaningful, Network to build mentors, sponsors, and allies. She also emphasized the importance of prioritizing self-care, lifting others as you rise, and embracing boldness, bravery, and brilliance.

When asked where she finds the energy to juggle all her responsibilities, she responded that when you align whatever you do with your values, the energy follows.

The AIM Mentorship Program Cycle 6 creates mentor-mentee connections and discussions on practical career development strategies. Mentors offer insights to help mentees set realistic career goals and empower them to make informed decisions about their future within the program.
