Makati, Philippines – The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) recently held its Academic Quarter 2 Convocation, welcoming 238 new students to its prestigious postgraduate programs. The event marked the beginning of a transformative journey for aspiring leaders enrolled in the Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA), Master in Entrepreneurship (ME), Master in Cybersecurity (MCS), Master in Innovation and Business (MIB), and Online Master in Business Administration (OMBA) programs.
AIM President and Dean, Jikyeong Kang, PhD, opened the ceremony acknowledging the challenges ahead but emphasized the growth and wisdom that come from perseverance.
The event’s highlight was an empowering keynote address by EMBA alumna and accomplished entrepreneur, Rissa Mananquil-Trillo. Trillo shared her journey from childhood entrepreneurship to founding Happy Skin, a revolutionary beauty brand. She credited her AIM education for shaping her into the entrepreneur, leader, and advocate she is today, and for opening her world in immeasurable ways.
Trillo’s speech embodies the Institute’s core values, accentuating purpose-driven entrepreneurship, continuous learning, and   value creation. She wove together personal anecdotes, business insights, and a powerful call to action for the new students,  “Today, there are 238 students enrolled, who are ready to start a new degree, that’s 238 students with the potential to change the world. Your journey is just beginning, and the world is waiting for the impact that you can make. What kind of legacy are you going to start when you graduate? I want you to remember that it is not the degree or the title that matters but how you use it that determines its true value.”
The convocation highlighted the AIM commitment to molding future leaders who can drive positive impact  . As Trillo aptly put it, “Success means creating meaningful change, empowering fellow women, and leaving a legacy for the next generation.”
As the new students embark on their AIM journey, they carry with them the potential to reshape industries and uplift the lives of others. The ceremony not only marked the beginning of their academic pursuit but also set the stage for a future where business acumen meets social responsibility.
