Project Manager for Business Systems (Project-based)
Description
- This position is responsible for assembling the project team, assigning responsibilities, and managing schedules and resources to ensure timely completion of assigned projects
- Manages various Business Systems projects from Scope Requirement, Vendor Selection, Systems configuration and development, Training, Change Management, Implementation and Adoption
- Requires Business Systems project management skills and experience to gain credibility and manage multiple work streams and complex projects.
- Must be capable of managing multiple projects and reports to the steering committee when required.

- Must have experience in managing medium to large and complex Business Systems projects
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent planning and organization ability
- Excellent time management skills and understanding the value of a baseline
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- Excellent management and leadership qualities
- Ability to make important decisions under pressure
- Bachelor’s degree in management, computer science and information technology or related courses
- At least 5 solid years of IT Business Systems project management
- Preferably with experience in the Education Sector
- Experience in any of the following business systems is a must, ERP, HR, FINANCE, Student Information System
- Underwent a formal Project Management training is an advantage
- Understanding of Six Sigma or any related framework is an advantage
- Experience in Agile methodology and Scrum is an advantage
- Assessing the requirements of the business community
- Analyzing different options and recommending the most suitable and most economically feasible option for the project
- Developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Preparing cost estimates of assigned projects
- Keeping a check on the budget and ensure that budget limits are not breached
- Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Supervising and coordinating with stakeholders, IT staff, consultants, vendors and suppliers
- Meeting with managers of different departments for feedback and assessment
- Making sure that the projects are completed within the given time frame
- Managing the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
