Faculty Associate

Description

Coordinates daily activities by providing administrative tasks, solving routine problems, and responding to legitimate faculty requests. Also works with the Office of the Dean team and staff from different departments to meet/address the requirements and faculty needs.

Education

  • College degree or equivalent education.

Minimum experience

  • 3 plus years of administrative experience in an academic environment, excellent communication skills, high-level customer service, and background in technology and web design is a plus.

Business Understanding

  • Solid working knowledge of office processes and systems.

Technical Knowledge

  • Has the desire to deliver exceptional results aligned with the unit’s objectives. Ability to collect and analyze information, problem solving, and make decisions.
  • Assists the supervisor in accomplishing requirements and arrangements needed in managing faculty needs and requirements - i.e. manages the calendar for meetings, arranges travel, monitors and inspects rental units; prepares/processes various hiring documents.
  • Communicates with other units on logistical and technical needs of the faculty and Academic Services Group
  • Manages filing systems for meetings and 201 files, both physical and electronic.
  • Serves as a web assistant - uploads/updates faculty profile content and maintains the Office of the Dean web page.
  • Drafts minutes of meetings.
  • Contributes to the Academic Services effort by performing related duties.
