Makati, Philippines—The Asian Institute of Management (AIM), a recognized leader in global business education, launched its Executive Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program on 15 May 2024, at the Aboitiz Tech Space, AIM campus. Designed for senior and executive-level professionals, this program enables them to tackle real-world business challenges with evidence-based solutions and innovations crafted through an advanced research lens, empowering them to continuously lead, inspire, and transform the dynamic business and economic landscape. 

Led by AIM President and Dean Jikyeong Kang, PhD, Professor Felipe Calderon, CPA, CMA, PhD, School Head of the Washington SyCip Graduate School of Business (WSGSB), and Professor Jamil Paolo Francisco, PhD, Academic Program Director of the Executive DBA program, the program’s launch and information session drew a crowd of more than 150, onsite and online.  

In an in-depth and engaging breakdown, Dr. Kang explained how the AIM Executive DBA helps leverage executive expertise into a rigorous dissertation that advances one’s field.

The program fosters deep collaboration between seasoned professionals and academics, synergizing their knowledge, analytical tools, and experiences to create real-world solutions. To thrive, Dr. Kang stressed choosing a supervisor wisely, focusing on intellectual connection and respecting complementary strengths.  

The Executive DBA program’s flexible, 36-month part-time hybrid format allows senior managers and C-Suite leaders to continue their career while earning a doctorate. It boasts the Executive DBA Global Alliance, comprising partner schools such as University of Houston - C.T. Bauer College of Business, and LUISS Business School. This alliance offers a Global Faculty Network for finding supervisors or taking international courses.
