Galo Ignacio, MDP ’88 and president of Organization Management and Development Systems, Inc., facilitated a Managerial Assessment of Proficiency (MAP) session with several of the Asian Institute of Management’s most recent MBA, MSIB, and EMBA graduates. The free session ran for a day and a half.

MAP is a valuable tool that tests 12 core competencies — such as supervisory competency, cognitive competency, and administrative competency — to determine an individual’s managerial development needs. It gives participants clear and immediate feedback, and compares their results against a database of more than 100,000 managers worldwide.

By the end of the MAP session, the AIM graduates had a better understanding of their strengths and competencies, and how these could be further developed in order to successfully jumpstart their careers.

Galo’s MAP session is a prime example of an alumnus giving back to the Institute and helping fellow alumni by sharing his time, expertise, and resources.
