Based in Lanao Del Sur, Super Lumba has developed two major projects to address peace and socio-economic issues in the province: 1.) Palapa sa Lumba and 2.) Project SIndao. Palapa sa Lumba is a social enterprise that makes “palapa”, a popular Maranao condiment, accessible to a wider market and provides livelihood and educational support to its beneficiaries, while Project SIndao conducts peace formation sessions for the Maranao youth to discourage them from joining violent extremist groups. Project SIndao was developed in the FBLP as Jai’s change project for her community.

Combined, the two projects of Super Lumba provide a holistic solution for the interconnected problems of poverty and violent extremism in the province of Lanao del Sur.

“We use the Bridging Leadership Framework in all our initiatives on the ground… The framework addresses complex societal challenges by combining a deep understanding of system dynamics, inclusive engagement, and empowerment of all stakeholders that enable widespread action for system[ic] change”, Jai shared in an online interview.
