A group of 18 MBA 2021 students recently completed the course on Global Virtual Teams (GVT): Working in a Multicultural Team under the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM). The GNAM member schools that have participated in this year’s GVT are AIM, EGADE Business School, ESMT Berlin, FGV-EAESP, HKUST, ICS Hitotsubashi, IIM Bangalore, INCAE Business School, Lagos Business School, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and Yale School of Management.

The primary objective of the GVT course is to provide students the knowledge and skills for managing groups that are dispersed across time, space, and cultures. The GVT includes AIM sessions on Multicultural Management, which was led by Prof. Jose Gerardo O. Santamaria, before launching into a global virtual team with students from other GNAM member schools. The team worked on interactive learning exercises that involve team building, coordination, decision-making, and analysis across the team.
