MANILA, Philippines – In a remarkable achievement, students from the Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) program 2024 have secured their place among the Top 12 finalists at the prestigious Bangkok Business Challenge (BBC) @ Sasin 2024. Held from 20 to 22 June 2024, at the Sasin School of Management in Bangkok, Thailand, this competition is renowned as Asia's longest-running global student startup competition.
The BBC is designed to foster entrepreneurial spirit and encourage scalable new venture creation. With objectives centered on instilling an entrepreneurial mindset, providing an international competition platform, creating commercial value for research and development (R&D), facilitating business matching, and integrating sustainability concerns into business ventures, the BBC offers a holistic environment for nurturing the next generation of business leaders.
Teams from various academic institutions compete for the coveted H.M. The King of Thailand’s Award, a prestigious prize conferred by the country’s current monarch. In addition, competitors also vie for over USD46,000 in cash awards, providing substantial support for promising ventures.
The rigorous selection process involves a distinguished panel of judges, including leading investors, entrepreneurs, and business professionals. These experts evaluate the teams based on written business plans, live pitches, and venture exhibits, seeking the most investor-ready startups poised to significantly impact their respective industries.
