Communications and Public Relations Supervisor

DESCRIPTION


The Communications & Public Relations Supervisor is responsible for the development and quality assurance of the Institute’s content across platforms, including web, public relations, social media, email, and internal communications. The role ensures consistent messaging, editorial excellence, and alignment with the Institute’s brand voice and institutional priorities. Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, the Supervisor helps drive the Institute’s thought leadership, content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO) strategy, and reputation-building efforts.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field   
  • Training in SEO, content strategy, or digital publishing an advantage  

Minimum Experience:

  • 3–5 years in writing, communications, PR, or content creation  
  • Strong background in digital content and SEO essential
  • Experience in CMS publishing, social media publishing, and content formatting across digital platforms

Business Understanding 

  • Understands how strategic messaging, SEO, and content support brand visibility, engagement, and recruitment.
  • Familiarity with the education sector is a plus.

Strategic Communications and Content Support

  • Support the Communications Manager in implementing communication strategies that strengthen the Institute’s brand, voice, and reputation.
  • Draft high-quality content across a wide range of formats, including press releases, website pages, feature stories, internal announcements, campaign materials, speeches, and executive messages, as directed.
  • Review and proofread written outputs to help ensure editorial quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Digital Marketing, Academic Units, Creatives) to align messaging with institutional priorities and campaign timelines.
  • Publish and update content through the Institute’s website CMS and official social media pages, ensuring proper formatting, readability, and accessibility.

Digital Content and Campaign Implementation

  • Develop SEO-informed content that enhances the Institute’s and its Schools’ and programs’ search visibility in support of enrollment and thought leadership objectives.
  • Contribute to content marketing initiatives such as blogs, email campaigns, and program copy to drive awareness and engagement.

PR and Media Relations

  • Maintain the Institute’s media directory and assist in building relationships with media partners.
  • Prepare press releases, media kits, Q&As, and briefing notes for spokespersons in support of PR initiatives.
  • Conduct interviews with faculty, students, alumni, and partners to generate credible and engaging stories.
