ICT Specialist for Business Systems
DESCRIPTION
The IT Specialist for Business Systems is responsible for the development, support and maintenance of all AIM websites and microsites. The IT Specialist for Business Systems will also be responsible for development and implementation of AIM’s automation projects using Web based technology languages.
EDUCATION
- A degree in computer science, information systems, computing studies, IT or any other related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- 3 years Web Development experience, 2 years of experience in Systems Analysis , Design and User Support

- Understands the SDLC and Agile Methodology and preferably with Design Thinking experience. Strong understanding of software development methodology, and have assisted in the design, development or testing of a technology implementation initiative.

responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of AIM Websites
- Update and make necessary changes to AIM’s website.
- Provide technical support to users regarding website-related queries, including login issues, broken links, slow page loads, etc.
- Perform routine website audits to ensure content accuracy, site performance, and security.
- Assist in the management of website content, including uploading new content, updating existing pages, and optimizing SEO where needed.
- Monitor website performance metrics (e.g., page speed, uptime) and escalate issues when necessary.
- Respond to website downtime and coordinate with the appropriate teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure that website updates and enhancements do not interfere with the overall site usability.
- Maintain the website’s appearance and functionality across various devices and browsers, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Create web based, mobile or client server applications or programs as needed by AIM.
- Create web-based portals including but not limited to reporting and analytical dashboards.
- Conduct unit testing, systems testing and systems integration testing to ensure quality of systems and eliminate major bugs upon implementation.
- Create test scripts to be used in testing the program.
- Handover the finished system/application to the IT Service Delivery team, together with necessary documentations, for them to continue supporting users in production.
- Provide support on all system/application concerns escalated to the Business Systems team.
- Ensure that necessary documents and ICT processes are adhered to for compliance with internal and external audit bodies.
- Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
