Program Overview

The quality of every conversation shapes the quality of every outcome. Whether leading teams, coaching individuals, or guiding organizational change, meaningful transformation begins by understanding how people think, interpret experiences, and make decisions. The Foundational Advantage, delivered by the Asian Institute of Management School of Executive Education and Lifelong Learning (AIM-SEELL) in partnership with Coach Masters Academy (CMA), introduces participants to Transformative Edge™—CMA’s science-based coaching approach that enables deeper, more intentional conversations.  

Over a structured 16-week learning journey, participants develop practical coaching capabilities through live instruction, guided practice, mentoring, and experiential learning. Designed as the starting point for professional coaching development, the program equips participants with practical tools to facilitate reflective thinking, foster greater self-awareness, and create lasting impact in both coaching and leadership contexts.

Program Objectives:

• Develop a coaching mindset that encourages reflective thinking and more intentional decision-making.  
• Understand how individuals construct meaning and apply practical techniques to uncover the thinking behind their actions and decisions.  
• Apply the Awareness–Clarity–Choice Conversation framework to facilitate meaningful conversations in coaching, leadership, and workplace settings. 

Key Benefits:

• Exploratory Track: Start with the 12 classes in the Learning Lab, which can stand on their own and provide the same foundation as the professional training. Should you decide to pursue certification later, you can seamlessly continue to the next stage.  
• Certification Track: This training is approved by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as a Level 1 Accreditation. Upon fulfilling the program completion requirements, participants become eligible to apply for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential.  
• Academic Upgrade: Build on your Coach Masters Academy (CMA) training to earn a Graduate Diploma in Professional Coaching and Leadership Development from the Asian Institute of Management, adding a recognized academic credential to your professional qualification.
