Helpdesk and AV Technical Assistant
DESCRIPTION
The role provides 1st level support for IT and AV-related user concerns, covering areas such as IT infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or any relevant field.
Minimum Experience: 2-3 years of experience as IT technical support specialist providing level 1 IT and AV support
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
- Able to operate, install, configure and troubleshoot MAC and Windows workstations
responsibilities
- Provide 1st level support on all IT and AV related user concern in the areas of IT infrastructure, systems and cybersecurity
- Escalate and work with internal IT support teams and/or vendors if reported concern require further assistance or support
- Ensure all reported concerns have corresponding tickets for proper monitoring
- Serve as bridge between users and IT support teams to further understand and resolve reported IT concerns
- Perform inventory, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, set up and configuration of hardware, network, audio visual, and software components
- Create and constantly update documentation on basic IT and AV set up, configuration, and troubleshooting to serve as guide for AIM users
- Conduct user training to empower users and make them less dependent on IT regarding basic IT and AV set up and support
- Monitor software and hardware license subscriptions and ensure timely renewal to avoid disruption to operations
- Process payment requests for all IT related transactions and billings, ensuring that all bills, engagements and subscriptions are paid on time
- All other IT/AV related tasks that may be assigned by the IT Head
