Mentorship Program Cycle 5

The Asian Institute of Management’s (AIM) Career Services Office (CSO) recently organized the fifth cycle of its Mentorship Program. The program aims to connect professionals with students, fostering personal development and career growth.

Mentorship Program Cycle 5 2

The launch, held at the Meralco Caseroom on 29 June 2023, had over 70 mentors and mentees participating both onsite and online via Zoom. CSO’s Relationship Manager, Maria Rosario Calanoc, provided an outline of the Mentorship Program. She discussed the program’s timeline for Cycle 5 and shared testimonials from mentors and mentees, highlighting the program’s effectiveness. Icebreakers were facilitated to encourage collaboration and relationship-building, allowing mentors and mentees to connect on a personal level.  They were divided into partners and invited to form breakout rooms where they could engage in meaningful discussions.

Mentorship Program Cycle 5 3

Mentors and mentees from most of AIM’s graduate programs attended the event. Among the programs, the Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) had the most students seeking mentorship. CSO Director Lucille Jade Galvan also mentioned that it was the first time they had a mentee from the School of Executive Education and Lifelong Learning’s (SEELL) Postgraduate for General Management (PGDGM) diploma program.

Mentorship Program Cycle 5 4

AIM’s Mentorship Program is designed to reinforce the practical learnings students get through their respective programs and apply them in the real world. It is a parallel initiative done with the four-step career strategy of the CSO and career advising done by the school programs. This recent cycle was successfully launched through the support of various AIM Alumni chapters, the AIM Alumni Relations Office, and through CSO’s partnership with the International Council for Small Business.
