Makati City, Philippines—The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) celebrated the inauguration of the newly renovated Landco Pacific Student Lounge, a generous contribution from Landco Pacific Corporation, an MVP company led by AIM alumnus Mr. Erickson Manzano, MBM 2000.
The ceremonial unveiling, headed by AIM President and Dean, Dr. Jikyeong Kang,  alongside key stakeholders and representatives of Landco Pacific Corporation, marks a meaningful addition to the campus facilities. The thoughtfully designed space features contemporary furnishings, collaborative work areas, and modern amenities, creating an environment that fosters academic excellence and community building among the Institute’s diverse student body.
“This is a very special occasion for me,” shared Mr. Manzano, President and CEO of Landco Pacific Corporation. “What I got from this school is way more than what we are giving back. I credit what I have become to two entities—my parents, and this school. I am so proud to be a product of this school.” Having experienced campus life as an AIM dormitory resident, Mr. Manzano understands firsthand the importance of collaborative spaces. “I lived the full AIM experience. I remember staying up past midnight reading case studies. It was half an inch thick minimum every single day and people would stay here studying. This [lounge]—this is where we hung out, and I wish the same thing for the students now.”
Reflecting on the impact of his AIM journey, Mr. Manzano emphasized that he credits much of his leadership success to the AIM world-class education he received. This is why he is so committed to supporting the Institution. “I loved being here, it is one of the biggest influences in my life. The world should know the quality of students that come out of here,” Mr. Manzano added.
The new facility represents the enduring partnership between the Asian Institute of Management and its accomplished alumni network, demonstrating their commitment to nurturing future leaders and global changemakers.
This significant initiative enhances the AIM learning experience, offering a space for academic discussions and community gatherings, where current and future students can freely exchange ideas and engage in transformative learning.
