Eduniversal’s annual ranking of the top 1,000 business schools and universities in 154 countries recently awarded four Palmes of Excellence to the Asian Institute of Management, classifying it as a top Business School with Significant International Influence in 2016. It is the only school in the Philippines to be recognized with this distinction at the 9th World Eduniversal Convention held in Perth, Australia in January 2017.
Eduniversal also ranked AIM’s Washington SyCip Graduate School of Business as 8th Best Full-Time Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Far East Asia. AIM also received the top 11th ranking as Best Executive MBA program (part-time) in Far East Asia.
“AIM has been entrusted with the responsibility of shaping future leaders and change-makers for almost 50 years,” said Jikyeong Kang, President and Dean of AIM. “This survey solidifies AIM’s reputation and serves to substantiate our track record in providing the best management education in Asia, inspiring leaders and professionals to transform enterprise and society in sustainable and meaningful ways.”
The business schools in the official Eduniversal selection were chosen by the International Scientific Committee after a rigorous analysis of data from global, national, and regional higher education systems, school accreditations, results of other rankings, and the distinctions obtained in the country of the schools being considered. Eduniversal then classifies institutions according to their international reputation at the national and international level as well as by geographical zone.
Their classification in their league is then determined according to the evaluation made during the Deans' Vote Survey. The Dean’s Vote is an exclusive feature of the Eduniversal Evaluation Survey, in which the Deans and Directors of the 1,000 best selected global institutions pass their recommendations on each of the 1,000 institutions selected in the 154 countries. The number of recommendations collected then determines the ranking for each of them within each "Palme of Excellence" or league.
