Makati Philippines—The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) joins forces with FinTech Alliance.Ph as their newest strategic partner for the Manila Tech Summit 2024. This exciting event, to be held on 6-7 August 2024 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, empowers Filipino businesses and leaders to navigate a thriving tech future.

The agreement between FinTech Alliance.Ph and AIM, signed last 19 June 2024, marks a significant leap forward in collaboration between the financial technology industry and the academia. By fostering the development of highly skilled workforce, Mr. Lito Villanueva, founding chairman of FinTech Alliance.Ph, said this partnership has the potential to create a pool of internationally competitive digital talent in the country. This, in turn, will accelerate the growth of the Philippine FinTech landscape on the world stage.

As a globally recognized institution, AIM is at the forefront of financial technology education with its premier Master of Science in Financial Technology (MSc FinTech) program. This part- time, hybrid program, jointly delivered by AIM and Manchester Metropolitan University (Manchester Met) in the United Kingdom, positions students for success as leaders in the rapidly evolving FinTech industry. MSc FinTech equips working professionals with the expertise to navigate the intricacies of FinTech, providing a well-rounded understanding of this dynamic field.

FinTech Alliance.Ph, the Philippines’ premier digital players association, represents 95% of the country’s retail financial transactions with over 100 members including industry giants like GCash, Maya, and Grab.

The summit’s theme, “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Unlocked: Shaping Our Digital Future,” reflects the Philippines’ potential to become a $1 trillion US dollar economy by 2033. A key highlight is the presentation of the 12-member economy of the Asia FinTech Alliance, including representatives from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and potentially China. This collaboration is geared towards developing joint programs for practitioners across Asia.

With its commitment to excellence and the continuous pursuit of business and management knowledge in the evolving field of financial technology, AIM fully supports the Manila Tech Summit 2024 as a strategic knowledge partner. Attending the summit offers actionable knowledge to move forward with FinTech, networking opportunities with industry leaders, and the chance to learn from experts spearheading the Philippine FinTech Alliance as well as the Asia FinTech Alliance.
