MAKATI, Philippines – The Aboitiz School of Innovation, Technology, & Entrepreneurship (ASITE) recently hosted a successful brunch event and Parents Dialogue, bringing together families to explore the future of leadership.
The centerpiece of the gathering was an in-depth discussion on the school's pioneering transnational, double degree program: the Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Business Administration and the Bachelor of Business Administration Major in Management Information Systems (BSDSBA & BBA, MIS). Parents were captivated by the program's potential to equip their children with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in today's rapidly evolving business landscape.
Adding a personal touch to the event, Ms. Jing Castaneda Velasco and Mr. Nonong Velasco, parents of current BSDSBA & BBA, MIS student Rose Fiana Marie Velasco, shared their inspiring journey of supporting their daughter's academic aspirations. The couple emphasized the significance of empowering their child to make her own decisions, while providing unwavering guidance and support. Their candid sharing resonated with the audience, highlighting the importance of parental involvement in shaping a child's future without imposing undue pressure.
 

The event concluded with a lively exchange of ideas among parents and school representatives, including ASITE School Head Prof.  Christopher P. Monterola, PhD and BSDSBA & BBA, MIS Academic Program Director Prof. Michelle P. Banawan, PhD, fostering a strong sense of community and shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.
