Roadmap for SUCCESS: AIM-SEELL and Daikin Collaborate on Next-Gen Leadership Development
The Asian Institute of Management School of Executive Education and Lifelong Learning (AIM-SEELL) has officially signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Daikin Airconditioning Philippines, Inc. to launch a pioneering leadership development initiative: Strategic Upskilling for Competent, Confident, and Empowered Successors and Sustainability (SUCCESS). Set to run from August 2025 to June 2026, the program is tailored for second-generation leaders within the Daikin ecosystem, equipping them to lead their family businesses into the future.
Key personalities who graced the event included Ms. Hazel May Brondial, SUCCESS Program Director and AIM adjunct faculty, and Prof. Albert Mateo, Jr., School Head of AIM-SEELL. Representing Daikin Philippines were Takayoshi Miki, President; Hirohide Kinugawa, Director; and Arriane Lamug, General Manager.
In his speech, Takayoshi Miki revealed the inspiration behind the program. He shared, “Many of our dealers began their journey with Daikin equipped with either sales or technical expertise, and over the years, we’ve witnessed their growth and success. Today, we are seeing a new chapter unfold, as their next generation begins to step into the business, many of whom I’ve had the privilege to meet as students, and even as children.”
SUCCESS is tailored to equip second-generation leaders within the Daikin ecosystem with essential skills, strategic mindsets, and a deeper alignment with the company’s values. It also combines structured on-the-job training at Daikin with global immersion experiences in Daikin offices worldwide, empowering participants to lead with purpose and impact.
“As they gradually immerse themselves in their families’ legacy”, Miki added, we want to support them in building the advanced skills, capabilities, and confidence necessary to elevate what their parents have built. The AC business landscape is rapidly evolving, shaped by new technologies and the shifting needs and values of the younger generation. This is why we envision creating a strong community of next-generation leaders who will drive the future of the AC industry in the Philippines, helping bridge the gap with more advanced ASEAN markets and even leading the region.”
This collaboration underscores the enduring commitment of AIM-SEELL to forging impactful partnerships that empower organizations and their people through transformative, future-ready learning. Through the SUCCESS Program, emerging leaders will develop the skills and mindset needed to sustain family legacies, fuel innovation, and shape the future of Philippine enterprise.
Miki closed the event with a challenge and message of encouragement, “To all applicants, give it your all during the qualification rounds. We’re excited to welcome you to the first session of the DAIKIN SUCCESS Program, where your leadership journey begins.”
