AIM Students Showcase the Impact of Service Through NSTP Volunteer Engagement Exhibit
The Asian Institute of Management (AIM), through its Student Experience Office in partnership with the Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Business Administration & Bachelor of Business Administration, Major in Management Information Systems (BSDSBA & BBA, MIS) double-degree program, successfully hosted the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Volunteer Engagement Exhibit.
The exhibit served as the culminating event for students from the BSDSBA & BBA, MIS Cohorts of 2027 and 2028, celebrating their service-learning journey and the meaningful partnerships they built with various volunteer-receiving organizations throughout the National Service Training Program.
Bringing together students, faculty, community partners, and members of the AIM community, the event showcased students’ experiences, insights, and reflections through curated exhibits and presentations. The displays highlighted the diverse volunteer initiatives undertaken by the students and demonstrated how community engagement can deepen learning while fostering a greater sense of social responsibility.
Throughout the program, students shared stories of collaboration, personal growth, and service, reflecting on the lessons they gained from working alongside organizations committed to addressing community needs. Their presentations illustrated the transformative impact of experiential learning and underscored the importance of applying knowledge and skills beyond the classroom.
A key highlight of the event was the recognition of the Institute’s partner volunteer-receiving organizations, whose guidance and support enriched the students’ National Service Training Program experience. Representatives from participating organizations attended the exhibit and were formally recognized through the awarding of plaques of appreciation in acknowledgment of their invaluable contributions and continued partnership with AIM.
Among the organizations recognized during the event were Caritas Manila, United Methodist Children and Families Makati, UPLIFT Care, San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly, Cyber Guardians PH, BANTU PH, Rotary Club of Makati Southwest, The Mind Museum, Urban Farmers PH, and YMCA of Makati. Through these partnerships, students were provided opportunities to engage with diverse sectors and contribute to initiatives that create meaningful impact within communities.
The exhibit also provided a venue for students and partner organizations to connect, exchange insights, and celebrate the outcomes of their collaborative efforts. As attendees toured the displays and engaged in conversations with participants, the event highlighted the shared commitment to service, leadership, and nation-building that lies at the heart of the NSTP.
More than a showcase of student outputs, the NSTP Volunteer Engagement Exhibit served as a testament to the value of community engagement as a cornerstone of holistic education. It demonstrated how meaningful partnerships between educational institutions and community organizations can inspire students to become active citizens and compassionate leaders.
Through initiatives such as the NSTP Volunteer Engagement Exhibit, AIM continues to cultivate socially responsible graduates who are prepared to contribute positively to their communities and lead with purpose in an increasingly complex world.
