Creating Safe Spaces, One Conversation at a Time!

On 26 February 2025, the Guidance and Counselling Office (GCO) of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) hosted an interactive session on self-love, exploring how to become one’s own biggest cheerleader. For the first time, three students were invited as panel speakers to participate in the conversation. They shared insights on how self-love manifests through overcoming challenges, finding purpose in our actions, and embracing optimism. These themes were inspired by the Guidance Nuggets: Be Your Own Cheerleader challenge, which encouraged the AIM community to create self-love one-liners that highlight their skills and passions.

It was a purposeful and engaging session, with panelists and audience members sharing personal experiences about cheering themselves on. The event concluded with a heartfelt musical performance by the AIM Musical Society.

Sessions like these are vital in fostering a community that encourages open conversations about mental health and provides opportunities to practice self-love in daily life.
Let us all continue to embrace self-love!
