AIM Career Services Office Advances Experiential Learning Through Strategic Partnership with Talent Formula
The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and Talent Formula formally strengthened their collaboration through a ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held on 18 June 2026. The event marked a significant milestone in advancing experiential learning opportunities and industry engagement for AIM undergraduate students.
The partnership supports the Data Science Work Immersion (DSWI) Program, a required internship component for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Business Administration & Bachelor of Business Administration, Major in Management Information Systems (BSDSBA & BBA, MIS) double-degree program. Through this collaboration, students gain access to meaningful workplace experiences that allow them to apply classroom learning in real-world business environments while developing competencies aligned with evolving industry needs.
Representing the two institutions during the ceremonial signing were Dr. Jikyeong Kang, President and Dean of AIM; Brian Pereira, Chief Executive Officer of Talent Formula; and Lucille Jade L. Galvan, Director of AIM Career Services Office (CSO). The gathering underscored a shared commitment to nurturing future-ready professionals through structured learning opportunities that bridge academic knowledge and practical industry experience.
Talent Formula is a specialized accounting and finance talent outsourcing company that helps accounting firms build dedicated offshore teams. Through its expertise in accounting, finance, analytics, and technology-enabled business functions, Talent Formula offers AIM students exposure to global business practices and industry-driven learning experiences.
The partnership has already produced meaningful outcomes for AIM students. Most recently, Talent Formula welcomed Lorenzo De Villa, a student from the BSDSBA & BBA, MIS Class of 2027, as a Data Science Intern. His onboarding reflects the tangible opportunities created through the collaboration and demonstrates how industry partnerships can help students gain practical experience while preparing for future careers.
Looking ahead, Talent Formula sees significant potential to expand engagement with AIM students as the company continues to evolve its business and talent requirements. During the event, Pereira expressed optimism about the partnership’s future and the opportunities it could create for students.

“I expect lots of good things. I think we’ll be looking for more than just data scientists as we go through our transformation from being an accounting business to building digital employees with AI.”
His remarks highlighted the growing demand for multidisciplinary talent capable of combining business knowledge, analytical thinking, and emerging technology skills in an increasingly AI-enabled workplace.

Dr. Kang likewise emphasized the broader impact that organizations and educational institutions can have on shaping future professionals. She reflected on the responsibility shared by mentors, managers, supervisors, and educators in helping students navigate their professional journeys.
“As a mentor, as a manager, supervisor, and leader, I think we have so many opportunities to influence young people and shape their young minds.”
She further noted that the true measure of success lies in the long-term growth and development of students as they enter and progress in their careers.
“How they grow and who they become over the years is really the litmus test of how well we are doing the job we are supposed to be doing in preparing them for their professional careers.”
By bringing together academia and industry, the partnership creates a platform for knowledge exchange while expanding pathways for students to engage with professionals and organizations operating in global markets.
