Asian Institute of Management and International Coaching Federation Formalize Partnership for Career Coaching Program
As career paths become increasingly complex and fast-evolving, the Career Services Office of the Asian Institute of Management formally launched its Career Coaching Program through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) on 24 April 2026, reinforcing the Institute’s commitment to equipping students with the clarity, confidence, and developmental support needed to navigate their professional journeys with purpose.
Held at the Aboitiz Tech Space and Team Energy Bridging Leadership Halls, the launch event gathered students, faculty members, mentors, and ICF-credentialed coaches for an afternoon of conversations centered on career development, coaching, and professional growth.
During the program, Prof. Jose Gerardo O. Santamaria, Head of the Washington SyCip Graduate School of Business, emphasized the importance of intentional career navigation and meaningful developmental conversations in preparing students for the future.
“We are grateful that you have chosen to be part of this effort because while careers will continue to evolve, the ability to navigate them with intention is something that must be developed and it is developed through the conversations like the ones you will have with our students.”
A key highlight of the event was the formal MOU Signing Ceremony, which marked the official partnership between the Institute and the International Coaching Federation in strengthening developmental support initiatives for students.
In her message, Lucille Jade Galvan, Director of the Career Services Office, highlighted how the initiative aligns with the Institute’s goal of developing globally competitive future leaders.
“We are also confident that this approach, which we will have in tandem with International Coaching Federation of the Philippines, is something that will put our students at the forefront, especially since we’re looking into future leaders, future managers of leaders of the country, of the region, and of the world.”
Representing the ICF Philippine Chapter, Tina Sioson, President of the ICF Philippine Chapter, expressed appreciation for the partnership and shared the organization’s commitment to supporting students through coaching.
“We’re very delighted and honored to be here, for being chosen to partner with you. We are very happy to do this with you, to assist in the navigation of their coaching, in their career direction.”
Meanwhile, Beth Nasol, Partnerships Representative of the ICF Philippine Chapter, underscored the broader impact of coaching in fostering collaboration and results-driven communities.
“I think it’s very important to use coaching as the intervention to really create a stronger community where you can collaborate, partner, and deliver results now.”

Participants were later given the opportunity to engage directly with coaches and mentors during the “Meet the Coaches and Mentors” networking session, fostering meaningful conversations and developmental connections within the Institute’s coaching and mentoring community.
An ICF Information Session concluded the program, introducing attendees to the standards and practices upheld by the International Coaching Federation and emphasizing the growing role of coaching in helping young professionals build adaptability and intentionality in an increasingly dynamic job market.
More than a traditional career support initiative, the newly launched Career Coaching Program aims to help students clarify professional goals, make informed career decisions, and transition into the workforce with greater confidence and direction.

Through this partnership, the Institute continues to strengthen its student support ecosystem beyond academics—equipping future professionals not only with technical expertise, but also with the mindset, clarity, and leadership readiness needed to thrive in evolving industries and workplaces.
